Application
Surfaces should be cleaned with warm water, detergent and a stiff brush. Make sure that any pressure treatment residue, mould and algae is removed and rinse well. If your timber has been treated, no basecoat or primer is required. If your timber isn't treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use the Protek Wood Preserver ++ first. Ensure that timber is fully dry. Do not apply to wet timber or if rain is expected within 48 hours, or if the temperature is below 5 degrees. Two coats of Stable Coat is recommended. Touch dry within 2 hours depending on drying conditions and humidity. Unprotected persons and animals should be kept away from coated areas for 48 hours or until surfaces are dry.
