The Royal Metallics range from Protek is a metallic paint that can be applied to wood or any porous surface such as terracotta or masonry, adding extra sparkle and a long lasting waterproof coating to all manner of things around your garden. This metallic paint goes on very easily to give a glittering translucent finish that allows the grain of the wood to show through, with additional coats giving a more solid gold, silver, copper or bronze look. This water based treatment can be applied by brush or roller.

Surfaces should be cleaned with warm water, detergent and a stiff brush. Make sure that any previous surface treatments, pressure treatment residue, mould and algae is removed and rinse well. If your timber has been treated, no basecoat or primer is required. If your timber isn't treated with a preservative then depending on the type of wood and product, you may want to use the Protek Wood Preserver ++ first. Ensure that timber is fully dry, do not apply to wet timber or if rain is expected within 48 hours, or if the temperature is below 5 degrees. Touch dry within 2 hours depending on drying conditions and humidity.
