The 8ft Timber H Post from Forest is a ribbed post that is suitable for use with a variety of garden fence panels, but ideally complements the Europa and Kyoto fence panel range that is also from Forest. The slotted style of this fence post allows for the installation of panels without the need for securing brackets, as the fence panel simply slots inside. The slots are 48mm wide to accept a maximum fence panel thickness of 47mm. This post blends in well with fence panels and will compliment your fence panel run.

Manufactured in Poland from PEFC certified timber from sustainable sources this mixed softwood fence post is pressure treated which gives a natural timber colour and provides the post with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee, eliminating the need for annual re-treatment.

There is a measurement tolerance as this is not a precision cut product and the timber itself expands and contracts in different conditions.

Care & Maintenance

This item is pressure treated with a 15 year manufacturers anti rot guarantee. The pressure treatment will leave the item with a pale green finish that allows the natural beauty of the wood to show through and over time if left this will weather to an attractive silver/grey finish. This is perfectly natural and does not affect the structure of the product. Alternatively the pressure treated finish creates a good foundation for colouring to suit your personal taste. If you do decide to paint or stain this item it is advisable to allow the wood to weather for 2-3 months to avoid trapping any residual chemicals from the pressure treated process. Any paint or stain you use must then be suitable for pressure treated timber. Please note natural splitting and cracking may occur but will not affect the longevity nor structure of the product.
