The Redwood Lap Forest Retreat 4 x 6 Shed is a luxury item, designed to look stunning and provide you with a sheltered workspace to pot plants, complete a little DIY project or just store your garden tools in. The simple design is crafted using superb quality materials, with each shed being handmade to order to ensure an exceptional finish throughout.

Arranged into a traditional overlap formation the smooth-planed, redwood timber boards keep the contents protected and are securely fixed to the robust framework for support. Fitted with two opening windows, each one glazed with 4mm toughened safety glass the shed is supplied with plenty of natural light and good ventilation. To prevent unauthorised access to the shed the door has been fitted with a rim lock requiring a key for entry. The tongue and groove boarded floor has been mounted on thick, pressure treated bearers to protect it from direct ground contact and for added stability. The apex roof creates lots of headroom inside which is ideal for storing long garden tools or installing shelving up to maximise storage space. Premium quality Canadian Red Cedar shingles are fixed to the roof to ensure it encourages water runoff. Over time the shingles will fade down to a subtle grey which paired with the factory applied exterior paint finish gives the shed a natural and quaint appearance. Available in a choice of three colours.

All of the FSC timber supplied is pressure treated and comes with a 15 year manufacturers anti-rot guarantee for additional peace of mind.

Home assembly is included with this item. This nationwide* service is conducted by the skilled Forest installation team at an agreed time which is convenient for you. Please note that this service is assembly only and does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings. Please ensure you have a suitable base in place before ordering. The base must be flat and should ideally be in the form of a poured concrete slab or laid concrete slabs.

Shed Specification

The Forest Redwood Retreat Sheds are manufactured using kiln dried, smooth-planed 10mm Overlap cladding, sturdy 45mm x 28mm frames and 4mm thick toughened glass. The floor is made from 12mm thick, smooth-planed tongue and groove boards and supported by pressure treated bearers to protect it from ground contact. The roof uses 12mm thick, smooth-planed T&G boards with Canadian Red Cedar Shingles, which will naturally fade to a subtle grey colour over time. European pressure treated FSC timber is used unless otherwise stated. Finished in a factory applied paint finish. All Redwood Retreat Sheds are delivered and then installed by the Forest installation team.

Warranty & Maintenance

This item is pressure treated with a 15 year manufacturers anti rot guarantee. Over time if left this will weather. This is perfectly natural and does not affect the structure of the product. Alternatively the pressure treated finish creates a good foundation for colouring to suit your personal taste. If you do decide to paint or stain this item it is advisable to allow the wood to weather for 2-3 months to avoid trapping any residual chemicals from the pressure treated process. Any paint or stain you use must then be suitable for pressure treated timber. Please note natural splitting and cracking may occur but will not affect the longevity nor structure of the product.
