The Sandringham Single Gate is available in a range of standard sizes. If however you require a bespoke size, a made to measure service is available for this gate and available to order online. In order to ensure you order the correct size gate, please read the information below and follow the simple instructions for an instant quote.
Firstly, click the link below to look at the standard Sandringham Single Gate and see if the standard sizes will fit your opening. If they won’t and you need a made to measure gate, read on to work out what size you need to order.
HOW TO ORDER A MADE TO MEASURE GATE
Click on the ‘Made to Measure’ button with the tape measure, this will open screen for you to enter your sizes for an instant quote.
STEP 1 – Enter the Gap Width
To determine what width of gate to order, measure the gap between your walls or posts. If for example the gap measurement that you have is 1000mm, this is the size you should enter. The gate itself will be supplied 100mm (4in) narrower than the gap measurement that you enter to allow space for the hinges and latch to be installed. If you are replacing an existing gate, you should still measure the opening and not the width of the existing gate to ensure your new gate will fit the gap with the hinges and latch that are supplied.
Example: If you have a gap of 1000mm and you do not need posts, the width you should enter is 1000mm. If you need to install posts, the posts for this gate are 70mm wide each, so the remaining gap for the gate will be 860mm, this is the measurement you should enter.
STEP 2 – Enter the Gate Height
The gate height is the distance from the bottom of the frame to the highest point in the gate. The gate height is the physical height of the gate itself and does not include any ground clearance, which would typically be 50mm (2") or more if your ground slopes.
Example: If you have brick pillars that are 1200mm tall and you want the top of the gate to be level with the top of the pillar, you should enter a height of 1150mm, leaving you with 50mm (2”) of ground clearance.
Once you have entered your measurements, your made to measure quotation will be displayed. This is the total price, including VAT and delivery (excluding Highlands & Islands). When you are ready, click "Add to Basket" and go through the checkout to complete your purchase.
If you are unsure and would prefer to discuss your requirements, please contact us for advice.
Posts are available if you do not have walls or posts in place on which to hang the gate, and are recommended to avoid causing damage to the brickwork. If you are installing onto a brick pillar, it must be flat and vertical and strong enough to support the weight of the gate. Please note the gate fittings require a flat vertical surface for installation.
The made to measure Sandringham Single Gate is supplied dipped in a black primer ready for you to paint with a top coat in the colour of your choice. We recommend Hammerite but any exterior metal paint can be applied. An optional zinc plated & powder coated finish is available at extra cost, please contact us for a quote before ordering.
