The Harwood 3m x 2m Log Cabin from Forest is a compact design, perfect for use in smaller gardens or in areas where space is limited. It has a pent roof which gives it a modern profile and is suitable for a range of different uses, such as a home office, gym, hobby room or alfresco dining area. The double doors open to provide excellent ventilation in summer and the integrated windows allow plenty of natural light into the building. The timber used to construct the log cabin is made from kiln dried, slow grown FSC Nordic Spruce, untreated allowing you to paint or stain the building in a colour of your choice. The 28mm thick walls, 19mm tongue and groove floor and roof, roofing felt with a polyester fibre base layer and toughened glass glazing combine to create a strong building designed to withstand the British weather.

The cabin is supplied as a self assembly kit, with instructions and fittings. The log cabin is supplied with individual interlocking logs that slot together for straightforward assembly. If you would prefer to leave all the hard work to the experts at Forest, then opt for the home delivery and construction package. The cabin must be built on a solid level base, such as concrete or tarmac.

Treatment and Maintenance

In order for your warranty to remain valid, you must apply a suitable water based wood preservative followed by a weatherproof coating of either of the following products to your log cabin, using at least 3 coats to both the exterior and interior before or immediately after installation:

• Timmersol Exterior Timber Stabiliser (3 coats or 1 colour coat of a water-based finish of your choice and 2 coats of Timmersol ETS)
•  Restol Wood Oil

It is also recommended that the underside of the floorboards are treated before assembly for added protection.

This item is supplied flat packed ready for DIY home installation however, if you would prefer a professional installation this service can be provided by the skilled Forest installation team at an agreed time which is convenient for you. Please note that this service is assembly only and does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings. Please ensure you have a suitable solid, level base in place before ordering this service..
