HOW TO ORDER A MADE TO MEASURE GATE
Click on the ‘Made to Measure’ button with the tape measure, this will open screen for you to enter your sizes for an instant quote.
STEP 1 – Enter the Gap Width
The gap width is the distance between your walls or posts. If you are replacing an existing gate, do not measure the gate itself as this will not take into account the space for the hinges and latch that are supplied with your gate.
Example: If you have a gap of 1000mm and you do not need posts, the width you should enter is 1000mm. If you need to install posts, the posts for this gate are 50mm wide each, so the remaining gap for the gate will be 900mm, this is the measurement you should enter.
STEP 2 – Enter the Gate Height
The gate height is the distance from the bottom of the frame to the highest point in the gate. The gate height is the physical height of the gate itself and does not include any ground clearance, which would typically be 50mm (2") or more if your ground slopes.
Example: If you have brick pillars that are 2000mm tall and you want the top of the gate to be level with the top of the pillar, you should enter a height of 1950mm, leaving you with 50mm (2”) of ground clearance.
Once you have entered your measurements, your made to measure quotation will be displayed. This is the total price, including VAT and delivery (excluding Highlands & Islands). When you are ready, click "Add to Basket" and go through the checkout to complete your purchase.

Gate Posts: Posts are available if you do not have walls or posts in place on which to hang the gate, and are recommended to avoid causing damage to the brickwork. If you are installing onto a brick pillar, it must be flat and vertical and strong enough to support the weight of the gate. Please note the gate fittings require a flat vertical surface for installation.
Gatemaster Mortice Lock: The gate can be padlocked as standard but if you prefer to lock your gate with a key, a mortice lock is available as an optional extra. Please note when a mortice lock is added the latch is removed and a slam plate will be provided to act as the receiver for the lock mechanism. The slam plate will only allow the gate to open in one direction.
When adding a mortice lock to your gate, upon request we can also add a slider bolt for no extra charge. This acts as a latch and allows the gate to be held in place without the need for a key to unlock each time. Ideal for when you are working in and around the garden.
Fittings: The Manor Tall Single Gate is supplied with hinges, latch and latch keep.
Opening Direction: This gate can be hinged on the left or right and can open in both directions (only one direction when a mortice lock is fitted).
Finish: The made to measure gate is supplied dipped in a black primer ready for you to paint with a top coat in the colour of your choice. We recommend Hammerite but any exterior metal paint can be applied. An optional zinc plated & powder coated finish is available at extra cost, please contact us for a quote before ordering.
