Simply place the house on dry ground in a quiet sheltered spot in the garden, put some dry leaves inside the house, then cover the outside with a thick layer of dry leaves, twigs and other natural materials. Leave the opening clear and facing south or south west, making sure the construction is sturdy enough to prevent dogs and badgers disturbing it. This house has an extended entrance to prevent dogs or badgers from reaching inside. Made from pine wood with a waterproof felt roof this box is a great way to attract hedgehogs into your garden which will not only be beneficial to the hedgehogs but by attracting these wonderful animals you will also help to keep garden pests under control as they love to eat slugs and snails.
