Maintaining Teak Garden Furniture

Teak has long been the preferred choice in the manufacture of quality wooden garden furniture. A hardwood packed with its own natural oils and combined with a close grain makes teak resistant to rotting, weathering and warping, thus requiring little to no maintenance. When left outside teak will naturally age and fade to a silvery grey colour if untreated. This is perfectly natural and does not affect the structure of the product. If preferred teak oil can be applied once or twice a year to halt this silvering process and a furniture cover is also recommended.
