Maintaining your Furniture

Pine furniture will last for many years with proper care and attention. A water based wood preservative has already been applied but we would recommend top coating with a waterproofing wood stain such as Protek Wood Stain & Protect. The furniture should be covered or stored indoors when not in use for long periods of time, especially during the winter. Wood is a natural product that reacts to moisture levels in the atmosphere. During long dry spells, temporary cracking may occur but this will not affect the strength or durability of the product.

Please note pine furniture will have knots and other natural features in the timber which is a natural characteristic of the wood and will not compromise the strength of your furniture.
