The Heavy Duty Raised Vegetable Trough/Planter from Churnet Valley offers a strong and sturdy raised planter which is suitable for growing home grown delights such as vegetables, herbs, salads, fruits or flowers. The raised design enables a more accessible and convenient height for planting, tending and picking and provides a great solution for people who are less able to bend down for long period's of time, or have less accessibility to tend to lower borders or flower beds. Handmade in the UK from sustainably sourced FSC® certified timber which has been pressure treated and designed to last with minimal maintenance for up to 20 years. Suitable for patio's, balconies, allotments or in gardens where space maybe limited. Available in three size options: 1.2M, 1.5M and 1.8M. Some home assembly required.

Warranty & Maintenance

All Churnet Valley items are handmade and come with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Pressure-treated for durability, the timber has a lifespan of up to 20 years with minimal maintenance. Initially, it may have a green tint, which will fade to a silvery grey over time. If you want to change the colour, you can stain it immediately with Protek Timber Eco Shield or paint/stain it after 3 months using a compatible product. As a natural material, the wood features knots and grain variations, and seasonal moisture changes may cause cracks or splits, but these will not affect its durability or strength.

Delivery

This item is delivered on a non returnable pallet. The pallet is unloaded from the delivery vehicle using a tail lift and a hand pump truck which requires a flat, firm surface for unloading. In some cases, this may mean kerbside delivery only. Please make us aware of any vehicle access restrictions such as height, width or weight limits as failed deliveries due to access issues may incur a failed delivery charge.
