The Dover Double Gates from Castle Gates are solid aluminium driveway gates that offer full privacy for your home. The construction of the gate incorporates vertical solid infills and a bell curved top creating a modern and streamlined design. Being made from aluminium, the gates are robust yet lighter than steel or wood, with the added benefit of being resistant to rust thereby requiring virtually no maintenance. Simply clean with soapy water when required to keep the gates looking new. The Dover Gates are available with either a black or grey powder coated finish (bespoke colours available upon request). The top of these gates are arched, rising by 200mm from the side to the centre.

The gates are supplied with a set of four hinges and expanding bolts as standard. An optional Latch and Lock Pack is available that contains handles, latch, mortice lock and drop bolts. This pack is not required if you intend to automate your gates.

150mm square aluminium Gate Posts that are designed to be concreted into the ground are also available.

How to Measure Aluminium Gates

The width measurements are the actual total width of the pair of gates. When installing the gates, the overall opening required needs to be between 4cm and 6cm wider than the total width of the gates to allow space for the hinges.

The height measurement of the gate is taken from the bottom to the top of the side frame. Your post or pillar should be at least 10cm longer overall than the gate to allow for the hinges to be fitted. They require 5cm above the gate and 5cm below. 

General Information

Opening Directions. The Dover Tall Double Gates are supplied with hinges that allow the gates to open either towards or away from you. If ordering the Latch & Lock Pack, the handles will be fitted to the right hand gate and the latch set to allow the gates to open away from you when approached from the road.

Gate Posts. Posts are only required if you do not already have walls or posts in place on which to hang the gates.
