The Chepstow Double Gates from Castle Gates are durable aluminium driveway gates that offer privacy and security in a contemporary design to complement any style of home. The open section at the top improves personal safety and security, allowing you to see visitors before unlocking the gates. Made from aluminium, these gates are robust, lightweight and resistant to rust, requiring virtually no maintenance; simply clean with soapy water when required to keep them looking new. These gates feature vertical panels on the lower section and an open top design with stylish infill bars, complete with a decorative sphere at the centre for an elegant finishing touch. Available with a black powder coated finish.

The gates are supplied with a set of four hinges and expanding bolts as standard. An optional Latch and Lock Pack is available that contains handles, latch, mortice lock and drop bolts. This pack is not required if you intend to automate your gates.

How to Measure Aluminium Gates

The width measurements are the actual total width of the pair of gates. When installing the gates, the overall opening required needs to be between 4cm and 6cm wider than the total width of the gates to allow space for the hinges.

The height measurement of the gate is taken from the bottom to the top of the side frame. Your post or pillar should be at least 10cm longer overall than the gate to allow for the hinges to be fitted. They require 5cm above the gate and 5cm below. 

General Information

Opening Directions. The Chepstow Double Gates are supplied with hinges that allow the gates to open either towards or away from you. If ordering the Latch & Lock Pack, the handles will be fitted to the right hand gate and the latch set to allow the gates to open away from you when approached from the road.

Gate Posts. Posts are only required if you do not already have walls or posts in place on which to hang the gates.
