Astley Aluminium Single Gate

The Astley Single Gate from Castle Gates is a durable aluminium pedestrian gate that offers privacy and security in a contemporary design that will complement any style of home. The open section at the top improves personal safety as it allows you to see who is on the other side before unlocking the gate. It is supplied with a key operated mortice lock that offers excellent security. Being made from aluminium, it is robust, lightweight and resistant to rust, requiring virtually no maintenance; simply clean with soapy water when required to keep the gate looking new. The design of this gate has vertical tongue and groove panels in the lower section, with an open top section, infilled with flat vertical bars. It is available with either a black or grey powder coated finish (bespoke colours available upon request).

The gate is supplied with hinges, mortice lock and keys, a full length wall mounted latch & lock keep for added privacy, expanding bolts and screws.

How to Measure Aluminium Gates

The width measurements are the actual width of the gate. When installing the gate, the overall gap required needs to be between 3cm and 5cm wider than the gate to allow space for the hinges and latch keep.

* The hinges are adjustable and require from 1 to 3cm. The latch requires 2cm.

The height measurement of the gate is taken from the bottom to the top of the side frame. Your post or pillar should be at least 10cm longer overall than the gate to allow for the hinges to be fitted. The hinge plates will sit 5cm above and 5cm below the gate.

General Information

Fittings. The Astley Single Gate is supplied with hinges, door handles, mortice lock with keys and latch keep. Please note the hinges and latch keep require a flat vertical surface for installation and are supplied black in colour.

Opening Directions. The Astley Single Gate is supplied with universal fittings that allows the gate to be hung on the left or right and the latch keep can be set to allow the gate to open either towards or away from you.

Gate Posts. Posts are only required if you do not already have walls or posts in place on which to hang the gate.
