The 14 x 10 Elm Log Cabin from Shire offers not only a contemporary log cabin perfect for use as a workshop, hobby room, office, teenagers den or dining space, but it also doubles up as a garden shed as it features a handy storage area, which is separated from the main log cabin space by an internal wall and features a separate single external door for easy access. The storage section can be placed on either side of the main cabin space, so that you can choose the perfect configuration for you. The main cabin area is a spacious 9ft x 9ft and the storage space is 3ft 10in x 9ft, making it great for storing your garden tools. Made from 19mm interlocking logs which are 50% thicker than a standard shed and 12mm tongue and groove boards for the roof and floor, this is a sturdy log cabin that is built with durability in mind. This log cabin also benefits from fully framed lockable doors (locks included) and for added safety the doors and window panels are made from perspex. This cabin is also supplied with pressure treated bearers that can be installed directly onto paving slabs or a concrete base. 

Made in the UK from kiln dried FSC sustainably sourced timber which reduces the moisture content in the timber and allows for tight and secure interlocking joints. 

The cabin is supplied as a self assembly kit, with instructions and fittings. The log cabin is supplied with individual interlocking logs that slot together for straightforward assembly. All Shire log cabins are designed to be easily dismantled should you move home and want to take your cabin with you.

Treatment and Maintenance

Shire Log Cabins should be treated immediately following assembly with a high quality preservative and at least once a year after. It is also recommended that the underside of the floorboards are treated before assembly for added protection. 

Home Assembly Service 

If you don't have the requisite DIY skills a home assembly service is available on this item. This service is conducted by the skilled Shire installation team at an agreed time which is convenient for you. Please note that this service is assembly only and does not include laying bases or disassembling existing buildings. Please ensure you have a suitable base in place before ordering this service. We recommend that the base onto which your building will stand should be at least 460mm (18") larger in each direction than the total footprint size of the building.

Larger items will be delivered on a non returnable pallet or via HGV. The item will be unloaded from either a flatbed vehicle or HGV using a hand pump truck which requires a flat, firm surface for unloading. In some cases, this may mean kerbside delivery only. Please make us aware of any vehicle access restrictions such as height, width or weight limits as failed deliveries due to access issues may incur a failed delivery charge.
