The York Wooden Climbing Frame with Swings features a large strong tower unit with four platforms spiralling around the central upright. Leading off the second platform is a wooden climbing ramp with rope, with the fourth platform leading to the green 3m wavy slide. For further enjoyment is a rope commando net and swing arm with two swings included. As with all our Climbing Frames, we use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. All bolts are galvanised and recessed for safety and appearance. Detailed assembly instructions and all necessary fittings are provided to make construction a straightforward DIY job.

Each climbing frame is designed to provide complete solutions at sensible prices. The design criteria has included flexibility, safety and above all provides Social Activity, Challenges and Fun for all ages of children. Some models incorporate staircases specially designed for small legs. The climbing frames have been designed to be complete, right down to swing seats, without complicated tables of modules and "optional extras" that turn out to be essential. All the Climbing Frames are built from selected top grade pine from forests approved and managed under the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Scheme (PEFC) is used with as few man-made materials as possible. The seasoned timber is machined, planed smooth with rounded edges and finished to within 1mm tolerances. All fixing holes and nut recesses are drilled, then the timber is pressure treated using a non-toxic chromium /cadmium/arsenic free solution approved for children's playground equipment. All wooden play equipment requires straightforward home assembly.
