If you have a wood burning stove to heat your home, or a barbecue, apart from being carbon neutral, wood is also a very cost effective method of heat - especially if you have access to a free log supply.
Log splitters negate the need for you to have to saw using a blade or axe, saving you time and of course much energy, and are manufactured to operate by different methods, either electricity or petrol driven.
