Delivery & Returns

DELIVERY CHARGES

Delivery is FREE of charge to most parts of the UK.

Some items are subject to a delivery charge to the Scottish Highlands, Northern Scotland, Cornwall, Northern Ireland and other offshore islands, including the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and Channel Islands.

To check if delivery to your area incurs a delivery charge, add the item you are intending to buy to your shopping basket, then click on the ‘Estimate Shipping & Taxes’ tab and enter your county and postcode.

DELIVERY TIMESCALE

Delivery times can vary depending on the type of product you order. We have therefore listed estimated delivery times on each item description page. The delivery times are approximate and quoted as working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

FAILED / MISSED DELIVERIES

If you are not at home when we deliver your order, the courier company will leave a card with instructions on how to reschedule the delivery at a convenient time. If you have somewhere secure where your delivery can be left, you can add a note when going through the checkout and this will be added to your shipping documents. Deliveries are left at your own risk and at the discretion of the courier.

If a delivery is incorrectly turned away, a re-delivery charge may apply.

OUT OF STOCK ITEMS

We always try to ensure stock availability is accurately displayed on the website. Any item that is out of stock will display an estimated arrival date of the next shipment. If you pre-order an out of stock item, stock from the next shipment will be reserved for you and despatched once the shipment has arrived.

Where items are despatched directly from our supplier and we are not aware of an item being out of stock, we will contact you as soon as possible to advise you of the date of the next shipment, at which point you can either choose an alternative item, cancel your order, or request that stock be allocated to you and despatched when the shipment arrives.

If any items you order are not available and have no estimated arrival date, we will contact you and offer you an alternative item or if no alternative is available, we will cancel your order and issue you with a refund.

EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

It is our aim to offer products that represent good value for money and we want you to be totally satisfied with every purchase you make from Garden Oasis. If you are not completely happy with your purchase, for any reason, and notify us within 14 days of delivery, we will either exchange or offer a complete refund, providing the item has not been used and is returned in the original packaging in a saleable condition. Please make sure you check your items carefully on receipt as they cannot be returned for a refund once they have been used or installed. Bespoke and perishable items are excluded from our 14 day money back guarantee. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Please contact us to discuss the best way to return your purchase. We can either provide an address label for you to send the parcel back or we can arrange collection on your behalf. A collection charge will apply and will vary according to the size and weight of the item. Refunds are issued after the item has been returned to us.

Garden Oasis offer a comprehensive 30 day guarantee giving you piece of mind that the product you receive will be correct and free of faults. In the rare event that your purchase develops a fault within 30 days of delivery, we will offer you the option to accept replacement parts, an exchange or refund (**). If you experience a fault with your product within the first 12 months of the manufacturer's warranty period, we are happy to liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf to arrange a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the terms of the manufacturer's warranty. After 12 months, any warranty claims should be dealt with directly by the manufacturer.

** Made to measure items are excluded from our normal 30 day guarantee. If a made to measure item is damaged in transit or is faulty it will be collected and repaired, or a replacement will be provided.

All parcels should be checked for transit damage before signing to accept delivery. Damaged deliveries should be either turned away or signed for as damaged. Should you receive a transit damaged item, please contact us as soon as possible. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a replacement or refund for damaged items once they have been used or installed.

ORDER CANCELLATION

Under The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you are entitled to cancel your order within 14 days from the date of delivery and can return any unused item for a full refund of the purchase price (including VAT and delivery). Exceptions to the right to cancel include goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised or which by reason of their nature cannot be returned or are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, such as cut flowers or bare root plants. Returns must be received within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be issued in no more than 14 days from the date an item is returned. Garden Oasis will charge the actual cost of recovering any goods not returned by the consumer. This charge will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.

RECYCLING ELECTRICAL ITEMS

In order to comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, Garden Oasis can recycle your old electrical equipment for you when you buy a like for like new electrical item from our website. For example, when buying a new Electric Lawnmower, you can send us your old electric lawnmower and we will recycle it for you free of charge. This offer is only open to Garden Oasis customers. Items for recycling must be returned to us within 28 days. The arrangement and cost of returning items for recycling is at the cost of the consumer.

Please do not throw electrical equipment (including those items marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin. This is because:

Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If we do not recycle electrical items they will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge
