THE REASONS FOR CHOOSING A RAISED BED
- Your garden soil may be poor - raised beds can be filled with nutrient rich compost of your own choice so that every would-be gardener can grow plants to be proud of.
- Weeds find it more difficult to spread -and are more easily removed from a raised bed.
- Drainage is improved. Your garden soil at ground level may have poor drainage - growing in raised beds overcomes this problem.
- Your back! Perhaps one of the most important reasons - raised beds assist those with mobility problems to enjoy their gardening.
