Garden Oasis have a selection of tools and gadgets to enhance, maintain and protect your pond.
To maintain a healthy pond, you will need to remove fallen leaves and other debris. The Tornado PondVac is the answer if your pond is not more than 10ft diameter x 3ft deep. It is easy to use and ideal for quick clean ups.
When dealing with a stagnant pond, you will want to empty much of the water in order to give the pond a good clean. The Cordless Battery Operated Water Pump, which has a flow rate of up to 350 litres per hour is ideal for this task but try not to waste the water, use it to help fertilise your garden.
High on your priority list will be protecting your prized fish from predators. Beautiful and graceful as Herons are, if you see them above you know they are on the lookout for food. Protect your fish in two ways by using decoys, and/or netting. As Herons are solitary hunters, they are put off at the sight of another Heron so one of our Decoy Herons placed strategically at the side of your pond may be sufficient to protect your fish. As a double safeguard, or to protect against other animals which have no interest in your Decoy Heron, you will need to use netting. At Garden Oasis we don't stock the 'old fashioned' traditional netting - its messy, and rather obvious. Instead, look at our PondGuard Net Rings which are hexagonal plastic shapes you simply clip together, and float almost unnoticed just below the surface. You will only need to install them around the perimeter of your pool in most instances. They are also very easy to remove, clean and replace.
