If the standard size Saxon Railing is not going to fit your opening, a made to measure service is available and can be ordered online. Please ensure you read the information below about how to work out the size you need to order and then follow the 5 simple steps detailed below to place your order.
How to work out what size to order
For the width, measure the gap you have between your pillars or posts. If you are replacing an existing railing panel, do not measure the railing itself as this will not take into account the space for the hinges that are supplied and required for installation. Therefore, if the gap between your pillars is 150cm the width you should specify is 150cm.
If your gap is over 200cm, the railing will be supplied in two equal sections that bolt together to form one continuous railing. The railing is supported where they join by a 5cm (2") long leg attached to a bolt down footplate. This removes the need for joining posts. Over 400cm, the railing will be in 3 equal sections with two bolt down legs and so on.
Measure the height of railing you require, from the bottom of the frame to the highest point on the railing. Remember to leave space for the 5cm leg and footplate for railings over 2m long.
How to order your made to measure railing
Step 1. Choose the price band your gap width falls into.
Eg. If your gap is 150cm, you would select gap width 'up to 1520mm (60")'. If your required gap width is over the maximum shown, please contact us for a quotation.
Step 2. Choose the price band your railing height falls into.
Eg. If your railing height is 50cm, you would select railing height 'up to 610mm (24")'.
Step 3.Type in the exact gap measurement (imperial or metric)
Eg. If your gap between pillars or posts is 150cm, enter "150cm" in the box.
Step 4. Type in the exact height measurement (imperial or metric)
Eg. If your required railing height is 50cm, enter "50cm" in the box.
Step 5. Enter any notes relating to the production of your order.
Then click the 'Add to Basket' button to calculate your total price.
General Information
Fittings. The Saxon Railings are supplied with hinges and self tapping screws. Please note the hinges require a flat vertical surface for installation.
Finish. The railing is supplied dipped in a black primer ready for you to paint with a top coat in the colour of your choice. We recommend Hammerite but any exterior metal paint can be applied.
