Please ensure you read the information below about how to work out the size you need to order and then follow the 6 simple steps detailed below to place your order.
How to work out what size to order
For the width, measure the gap you have between your walls or posts. If you are replacing an existing gate, do not measure the gate itself as this will not take into account the space for the hinges and latch that are supplied with your gate.
For example: If the gap you have is 250cm and you do not need posts, the width you should specify is 250cm. If you do require posts, the measurement you need to specify is the gap between your posts. So if you have a 250cm gap and need to install 2 x 7cm posts, the gap width for your gate should be entered as 236cm.
Measure the height of gate you require, from the bottom of the frame to the highest point in the gate. Remember to allow for ground clearance, typically 5cm (2") or more if your ground slopes.
How to order your made to measure gate
Step 1. Choose the price band your gap width falls into.
Eg. If your gap is 250cm, you would select gap width 'up to 2717mm (107")'.
If your gap is over the maximum shown, we are unable to make the size you require in this gate design.
Step 2. Choose the price band your gate height falls into.
Eg. If your gate height is 120cm, you would select gate height 'up to 1220mm (48")'. If your gate height is over the maximum shown, we are unable to make the size you require in this gate design.
Step 3. Type in the exact gap measurement (imperial or metric)
Eg. If your gap between walls or posts is 250cm, enter "250cm" in the box.
Step 4. Type in the exact height measurement (imperial or metric)
Eg. If your overall gate height is 120cm, enter "120cm" in the box
Step 5. Enter any notes relating to the production of your order.
Step 6. Made to measure 7cm (3") square gate posts are available for £45 each. Select the number you require.

General Information
Fittings. The Saxon Double Gates are supplied with hinges, latch and drop bolt. Self tapping screws are also included.
Opening Directions. The Saxon Double Gates can open in both directions. The latch is fitted to the right gate when viewed from the road. The drop bolt is fitted to the left gate.
Square Steel Posts. If you are installing directly onto brickwork, due to the weight of the gates, care should be taken to ensure the brickwork is strong enough to support them. Steel posts which are concreted into the ground are recommended to avoid damage to brickwork. Please note that the hinges require a flat vertical surface for installation.
Finish. The Saxon Double Gates are supplied dipped in a black primer ready for you to paint with a top coat in the colour of your choice. We recommend Hammerite but any exterior metal paint can be applied.
