The name aster comes from the Greek word for star also known as Michaelmas Daisies these old favourites flower from late summer into autumn with a multitude of long lasting, daisy-like flowers. Very hardy they form ever-increasing clumps that need to be divided every 3 - 4 years in the early spring. Ideal for in pots or in your borders combined with other late flowering plants, they provide colour when most other plants are fading.
